Relocated New School of Social Work BuildingStatus: Under Construction
This building is the result of community opposition to the originally proposed site for Columbia's new School of Social Work building. The building is by Cooper, Robertson & Partners. It is to be 11 stories high and 145,000 square feet. It is to include electronic classrooms, flexible instructional spaces and faculty, research and administrative offices. The projected cost is $51 million.
The new facility will have 12 classrooms, many of which will be fitted with the latest audio-visual and computer equipment, a 50-seat computer lab, a 7,000-square-foot library,
