The Nicest Street Basket

This kind of street basket has been installed in various parts of the city by Business Improvement Districts. This paricular one was photographed on 34th St. The color is more attractive than the orange wire-mesh baskets we now have, and because these baskets are lined, the wind doesn't blow trash out of them onto the street. Most importantly, however, we just need more street baskets. The ones we have are frequently overflowing, as seen below, and because their sides are see-through mesh, they display their contents to pedestrians. Revolting!
